Rakumux runs anywhere you have a terminal: on your laptop it works fully, with nothing else to set up. But a coding agent can work for an hour on one task, and on a laptop it stops when the lid closes, the laptop sleeps or the network drops. We recommend running Rakumux on a remote machine. Its background server owns your sessions, so on a machine that’s always on, your agents keep working while you’re away. Connect from any computer over SSH, and check on them from your phone.

Your options

Your own server

A desktop at home, a VPS or a cloud VM: anything you can SSH into.

A Fly Machine

An always-on Linux machine on Fly.io, with your home folder on a volume.

A Fly Sprite

A Linux VM on Fly.io that pauses when idle. Rakumux sets it up and runs sessions on it.

Your laptop

Install and go. Sessions survive closing the UI, not the laptop sleeping.

The same everywhere

  • One install. The same command installs Rakumux on any macOS or Linux x64 machine, and the same sessions, keys and agents work there.
  • Many windows. Every SSH login, terminal and phone shows the same sessions, live. Closing a window or losing the connection never stops one.
  • From your phone. Sign in on the remote machine and turn on the Feed: its sessions, their chats and the Feed show on rakumux.com in your phone’s browser. Or use the phone app over Tailscale.
  • After a restart. When Rakumux next starts, it brings back the sessions that were running, with Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode in the same conversation (Recovery).
